I wrote this cover letter for a paralegals job I really wanted and unfortunately never heard from them, so I thought maybe it was the cover letter (even though I think it’s pretty good).
Dear X,
I recently read your job advert in Gulf News regarding a Legal Secretary position. I was ecstatic and very excited to say the least, since for quite some time I have been looking for a role in the Legal Sector to utilize my potential and contribute to something I really care about. In the advert I basically saw myself described; as I fluently possess 3 spoken, read and written languages (English, Russian and Arabic). I am an enthusiastic self-starter, passionate and a very ambitious person looking for a career in Law.
As my resume will highlight I showcase outstanding communication skills, am the go to person when it comes to IT as my fast typing dexterity, my superior knowledge of MS Office, Photoshop and the detailed understanding of computers in general allows me stand out and prevail as an extremely useful individual. In my young career I’ve already had the privilege of working with EMAAR where I showed an unwavering dedication and worked directly with guests and customer of Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, was in charge of cash handling, customer phone calls & customer service. During my tenure I’ve established myself as one of the most valuable employees by bringing in new initiatives and implementing new operating strategies when it came to customer service, while also being consistent with the cash management and other tasks.
I plan on devoting my life to become a successful practising attorney and I foresee my drive, resilience and determination going a long way in aiding that success. I have a very strict work ethic and I am a strong proponent of the saying “Practice Makes Perfect” and the fact that hard work pays dividends, I thereby always conduct myself accordingly coming across as a reliable, trusting and a trust worthy person.
I am a firm believer in that my achievements so far combined with my “Never Say Die” attitude, exceptional skills set and my pleasing personality will be a recipe for success at your company; I am also certain that I would make a great addition and become a new asset to your already extraordinary firm.
I therefore am very much looking forward to meeting you in person and hence the opportunity to become a part of your team.
Please also find my CV attached.
Warm Regards,
